IoT Venture and Schindelhauer are collaborating: Connected bike technology for enhanced digital security and smart services for the Berlin-based premium brand

IoT Venture, a Darmstadt-based specialist in connected bike solutions, and Schindelhauer, an iconic Berlin brand, are launching a partnership with immediate effect. The partnership’s core focus is on digital anti-theft protection and active recovery. Schindelhauer customers will benefit from a fully integrated digital ecosystem for their e-bikes, including real-time tracking, anti-theft protection and an active recovery service powered by IoT Venture’s technology and the Bike Hunter team.

Handcrafted, urban, iconic: for years, Schindelhauer bikes have been synonymous with attitude. Anyone who rides a Schindelhauer does so by choice. The Berlin-based bike brand’s embrace of digital connectivity fits perfectly with this image, not as a gimmick but as a logical evolution of the product experience. This has been made possible by a new partnership with IoT Venture GmbH from Darmstadt.

At the customer’s request, IoT Venture can now fully integrate its proven technology into the Schindelhauer ecosystem, aligning it with the brand’s look and feel and tailoring it seamlessly to the customer experience. Schindelhauer riders will therefore benefit from active theft protection via their own white-label app, as well as their own Bike Hunter team to track down and recover stolen bikes. This is complemented by features such as a smart inspection service that reminds drivers of upcoming maintenance work and records it in the digital service history, and a digital accident detection system. This technology will be fitted as standard to the new Arthur Ultimate model later this year.

“What we’re making possible for Schindelhauer goes far beyond a simple app. It’s the complete digitalisation of the cycling experience, offering real added value in terms of customer safety. For Schindelhauer, the move towards digitising its bikes is a natural progression. “Schindelhauer Connect solves a key customer problem: the fear of bike theft. IoT Venture’s solution meets our customers’ strong need for security, thereby adding genuine value to our premium product,” says Jörg Schindelhauer, the company’s co-founder.

IoT Venture brings years of experience in the connected bike ecosystem to the partnership. Based in Darmstadt, the company develops and operates GPS tracking solutions for e-bikes, offering them both under its own IT’S MY BIKE brand and as white-label solutions for manufacturers and retailers. All technical infrastructure, app development and data handling are managed in-house.
