Change of management at IoT Venture GmbH

Since the founding of IoT Venture GmbH in 2016, the company has evolved from a start-up into an important provider of IoT solutions. With a workforce of over 60, IoT Venture offers solutions that link products to data, making them smarter and improving customer experience across different industries. Our current COO and co-founder, Thomas Ullmann, is now stepping back from the operational running of the business. This change will be accompanied by further innovations in the organisation and will strengthen the company’s digital focus.

Mario Schmitz will take on the position of Chief Operating Officer (COO) at IoT Venture GmbH with effect from 1 September 2024. In his former role as Head of Business Development, he has proven to be a driving force in the further development of the company’s innovative solutions, with a profound understanding of digital trends. “My aim is to further develop the company with lasting effect and to accomplish our long-term strategic objectives together with the team,” emphasises Mario Schmitz.

Current COO Thomas Ullmann, who is initiating this generational change, will be responsible for technical strategic orientation in future and will take on this task in his role as partner and co-founder. “I am delighted that our long-term colleague Mario Schmitz will now be taking on my position as COO. With his in-depth knowledge of the industry and his innovative approach, he is the ideal person to drive IoT Venture forward on the road to becoming a leading digital partner. I am convinced that he is an excellent choice for shaping the future development of our company,” says Thomas Ullmann.

To support this development, Oliver Dittrich, Chief Technology Officer of IoT Venture, will take on responsibility for the ‘Product Performance’ division in future.

New team structure promotes digital products

The focus on digital products and services will now also be more firmly embedded in our organisation in the shape of a dedicated ‘Digital Products’ department. This will be headed by Frederik Röper and incorporates the previous UI/UX roles and also data products.

“Our company is currently in an exciting phase. The organisation’s new structure puts us in an ideal position to take the next steps in our further development. These changes will help us to strengthen our market position and grow further as a leading provider of digital solutions,” declares CEO Jürgen Veith.
