IoT Venture at Cyclingworld: Second production launch for VELOSAFE, with an award nomination for Isipisi

Just in time for Cyclingworld Europe, IoT Venture, a technology specialist based in Darmstadt, is launching its VELOSAFE service model in collaboration with its long-standing partner, VELO DE VILLE. The North Rhine-Westphalian premium manufacturer will integrate the solution as standard into all its cargo bike models in future. Meanwhile, IoT Venture has been nominated for the Cyclingworld Award with another solution.

The second OEM to fit VELOSAFE as standard
IoT Venture has developed VELOSAFE, a service model that combines GPS tracking, insurance components and mobility services into a single, integrated, factory-delivered solution. The aim is to provide manufacturers with a scalable after-sales model that will strengthen the customer interface and service experience in the long term. IoT Venture has already positioned this approach as a strategic OEM model.

VELO DE VILLE is the second partner to integrate the VELOSAFE system as standard into its e-bikes. This will initially be the case for the Loady, SEB Pro Cargo and FR8 Cargo Bike models. For end customers, this means a comprehensive, worry-free digital package. “Our cargo bikes stand for quality, everyday practicality, and uncompromising mobility. With VELOSAFE, we are building on this promise by offering a digital service that provides security, transparency and long-term support,” says Alain Thiemann, VELO DE VILLE’s Managing Partner.

Nominated for the Cyclingworld Award
IoT Venture has been nominated for the Cyclingworld Award alongside Isicargo, a cargo bike specialist, and Alteos, an insurance provider. The award recognises the Isipisi app project, which is a digital platform solution developed specifically for specialist bicycle retailers.

The isipisi app enables isicargo to offer its customers its own service app as a specialist retailer. The app consolidates key bike-related functions digitally, including GPS tracking, anti-theft protection, service reminders, appointment booking and integrated insurance offers. As a retailer, isicargo remains a permanent fixture in the customer interface, providing services and additional offers directly via the app.

A model such as Isipisi opens up new opportunities for the industry. Links with garages can be maintained on a long-term basis, digital services can be scaled up, and additional revenue streams, such as insurance or maintenance services, can be accessed more easily.

IoT Venture at Cyclingworld Europe
During Cyclingworld, IoT Venture will be present at the stand of its insurance partner, Alteos (Stand N5, Kaltstahlhalle). Alteos, a subsidiary of AXA Konzern AG, offers digital bicycle insurance policies that integrate seamlessly into the connected bike ecosystem and the product ranges of its partners. Anyone using an e-bike with an IoT module can benefit from attractive insurance terms. In addition, the IT’S MY BIKE retrofit solution from IoT Venture can be conveniently purchased and installed via Alteos through specialist retailers. Visitors can find out how connectivity and insurance interact directly in the bicycle market on site.
